Bitfinex Securities is ushering in a new era of accessibility and efficiency by giving investors visibility of their securities in their primary Bitfinex trading account. This simplifies how participants engage with tokenised capital markets on Bitfinex, removing the administrative hurdle of having separate sub-accounts.

This change aligns with Bitfinex Securities’ mission to democratise access to regulated digital securities. Over the past twelve months, total assets on the Bitfinex Securities platform has grown to approximately $250 million, spanning a diverse array of asset classes, including micro-financing bonds (ALT2612), Bitcoin hashrate contracts (BMN2), US Treasury bills (USTBL), litigation finance products (TITAN2), and bank subordinated debt (TITAN1).

A Refined Investor Experience: Unified Trading, Simplified Access

Historically, investors interested in trading securities on Bitfinex, or participating in tokenised securities capital raises,  were required to use a dedicated Securities sub-account and complete an additional internal balance transfer to fund that separate account. This structure introduced unnecessary friction that hindered participation and market depth.

Today, Bitfinex Securities is eliminating this complexity:

  • Security tokens can now be viewed directly within an investor’s existing Bitfinex trading account, eliminating the need for a dedicated Securities sub-account while maintaining balance segregation and security controls.
  • Security tokens are viewable within standard Exchange wallets alongside other digital assets. This ensures unified portfolio visibility and simplified reporting.
  • Full Verification remains a requirement for trading security tokens and participating in capital raises, ensuring continued adherence to regulatory and compliance standards while improving the customer experience.

This integrated model empowers Bitfinex and Bitfinex Securities customers to view their entire portfolio, from cryptocurrencies to tokenised securities, in a single, unified Bitfinex account.
