26 Mar Bitfinex to list Coq Inu, Meme Token on Avalanche
ROAD TOWN, British Virgin Islands – March 26, 2024 – Bitfinex (https://www.bitfinex.com/), a premier digital asset trading platform, announced today that it will list Coq Inu (COQ), a meme token on the Avalanche network’s contract chain (c-chain).
Launched by members of Avalanche’s community late last year, Coq Inu is a chicken-themed meme token that has a total supply of 69.42 trillion. Similar to other popular meme tokens, Coq Inu does not have a specific purpose or utility for the network it’s based on, but instead is “for entertainment purposes only”. COQ made headlines in December 2023 when it surged to a $230 million market capitalisation – 12 days after its December 8 launch. It currently has a $325.15 million market capitalization.

Deposits of COQ open at approximately 1:00 PM UTC on March 26, 2024, subject to network conditions. COQ will be tradable against US Dollars (COQ/USD) and Tether tokens (COQ/USDt).
